Fortinet publikuje najnowszą wersję oprogramowania dla urządzenia dostępowego FortiAP-U w wersji 6.0.4. W nowej wersji oprogramowania producent dodał funkcjonalności takie jak: obsługa narzędzia VLAN Probe, obsługa klienta WiFi IPv6 w trybie bridge, Została dodana również funkcja zerowego oczekiwania dla DFS (dla urządzeń: FAP-U421EV, FAP-U422EV i FAP-U423EV), umożliwia ona urządzeniom kontynuowanie transmisji na kanale, jednocześnie monitorując cichy kanał DFS przez wymagane 60 sekund. Po upływie 60 sekund urządzenie może przełączyć się na docelowy kanał DFS bez konieczności czekania dodatkowych 60 sekund. W ten sposób następuje praktycznie płynne przejście i prawie bez przerwy w transmisji.
